This Privacy Policy explains how SocialPublisher (the “Software”), provided by PUGGYROOM (“we”, “us”), handles information. SocialPublisher is a desktop application that runs entirely on your own computer. It lets you publish videos you created to your own YouTube, TikTok, Facebook Page and Instagram accounts from one place.
In short: the Software stores everything locally on your device. We do not operate any server that receives your data, and we do not collect, sell or share your information.
1. Information the Software processes
– Authorization tokens: OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens issued by Google (YouTube), TikTok and Meta (Facebook / Instagram) after you connect an account. Used to publish videos to the accounts you connected.
– Basic account information: YouTube channel name and ID, TikTok display name and username, Facebook Page name and ID, Instagram username and ID. Used to show which account you are publishing to.
– Content you choose to publish: video files, titles, descriptions, captions, hashtags, privacy and interaction settings, and scheduled times. Used to publish the content you select, at the time you select.
– Publishing history: status, result links and error messages for each publish task. Used to show you the results and let you retry failed tasks.
The Software does not access your followers, messages, comments, analytics or any content other than what you explicitly choose to publish.
2. Where your information is stored
All of the information above is stored only on your own computer, inside the Software’s local data folder. Authorization tokens are kept in a file readable only by your user account. We have no access to this data, and no copy of it is sent to us.
3. How your information is shared
When you publish, the Software sends your video and its details directly from your computer to the platform you selected, using that platform’s official API. No data passes through any server operated by us. Each platform handles your data under its own policies:
– YouTube / Google: YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) and Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy)
– TikTok: TikTok Privacy Policy (https://www.tiktok.com/legal/privacy-policy)
– Facebook and Instagram: Meta Privacy Policy (https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/)
We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
4. YouTube API Services
SocialPublisher uses the YouTube API Services. By connecting your YouTube account, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). Google’s handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). SocialPublisher’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Cookies and analytics
The Software does not use tracking cookies, analytics, advertising SDKs or telemetry. Its local interface may save simple display preferences (for example, which platforms were last selected) in your browser’s local storage on your own computer.
6. Retention and deletion
Information stays on your computer until you remove it. You can:
– Disconnect an account in the Software’s “Accounts” page. This removes that platform’s tokens from your computer.
– Delete all data by deleting the Software’s data folder, or by uninstalling the Software.
– Revoke access at the platform at any time:
– Google / YouTube: Google Account > Third-party access (https://myaccount.google.com/permissions)
– Facebook / Instagram: Facebook Settings > Business integrations (https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools)
– TikTok: in the TikTok app, open Settings and privacy and remove SocialPublisher from the list of apps with access to your account
7. Data deletion instructions
Because all data is stored only on your own computer, we hold no personal data about you that could be deleted on our side. To remove everything, disconnect your accounts in the Software, delete its data folder, and revoke access at each platform as described in Section 6. 8. Security
Tokens are stored locally with file permissions restricted to your user account, and the Software’s local interface only accepts connections from your own computer. Please keep your computer and its user account secure, because anyone with access to your computer may be able to use the connected accounts.
9. Children
The Software is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly process information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
