It all began on a stormy day.
Thunder roared, and rain poured down in torrents. A little dog was walking along the slippery roadside when it suddenly lost its footing and fell into a rushing drainage ditch. The water was icy and violent. It struggled desperately, paws flailing, its eyes filled with terror and despair.
Just as it was about to be swallowed by the current, a white rabbit appeared. Without a moment of hesitation, it rushed forward and, fighting against the wind and rain, pulled the little dog out of the water, saving its life with all its strength.
The two small animals held each other in the rain, their fragile figures appearing incredibly resolute beneath the flashes of lightning. From that moment on, they became the best of friends.
After that, chasing each other across the grass, sharing food, and snuggling together on rainy days became the gentlest parts of their everyday lives. Whether under clear skies or in stormy weather, they stayed by each other’s side and were never apart.
But fate cruelly tore it all away.
One day, as they were playing by the roadside like usual, a truck driven by a drunk driver came charging toward them like a beast out of control. In an instant, the nightmare of screams and screeching brakes swallowed them whole.
An ambulance arrived with sirens blaring, and the medical team fought to save them in the rain. PUGGY was covered in injuries and rushed into the operating room. But the kind rabbit never woke up again.
In the end, the story fades into a heavy silence.
Not long after recovering, PUGGY, still weak and frail, slowly made its way to a gravestone standing in the rain, engraved with the name of its dear friend. It lay before the grave, tears falling like rain, unable to make a sound, quietly sobbing in grief.
It gently placed a white flower in front of the tombstone, then wrapped itself around the cold stone and held it tightly. It could not put its pain into words. It could only use this simplest, yet deepest gesture to say a final goodbye to the friend who had once fought so hard to save its life.
This is a story about redemption and loss. A rabbit gave its life to light the future of another little dog, and what remained was an irreplaceable sorrow, and a friendship that would never fade.
