The story begins inside the cockpit of a helicopter in flight. The fading light of dusk spills into the cabin as a man wearing camouflage pants argues fiercely with a woman. In her arms, she clutches PUGGY tightly, her face filled with fear. In the next instant, the man turns his anger toward PUGGY and tries to snatch the little dog away by force.
Faced with the threat, PUGGY fights back. With all its courage, it bites the man’s hand. The sharp pain enrages him, and in a cruel burst of violence, he lifts PUGGY high into the air and throws the little dog out through the cabin door. The wind howls as PUGGY tumbles through the sky, its eyes brimming with tears and terror, while behind it, its owner cries out in heartbreak, powerless to stop what has happened.
PUGGY falls into the dense primeval jungle below, crashing through the treetops and branches before finally slamming down beneath a large tree, barely alive. Its body is covered in injuries, blood trickles from the corner of its mouth, and its limbs tremble faintly.
At that moment, a young lion cub quietly appears. Filled with concern at the sight of PUGGY, it carefully approaches, gently touches the dog’s wounds with its paw, and softly licks its face. Under the cub’s protection and care, PUGGY slowly regains a little strength. The lion cub then tenderly lifts PUGGY onto its back and carries it to a cave to rest.
There, on a bed of dry hay, PUGGY lies peacefully while the lion cub leaves to search for food. The scene shifts to the cub learning to hunt in the jungle, determinedly chasing a white rabbit and finally catching it. When night falls, the cub builds a fire inside the cave, roasts the prey, and shares the cooked meat with PUGGY. In this way, the two little creatures from different species keep each other warm and protect one another in the wild.
Moonlight pours into the cave, and the night feels gentle and calm. They fall asleep leaning against each other, creating a scene of quiet warmth and peace.
But danger soon returns. The next day, while playing in the forest, the lion cub steps into a trap set by hunters and is suddenly lifted into the air in a large net. It struggles desperately, crying out in panic. Hearing the noise, PUGGY immediately rushes to the scene. The moment it sees its friend trapped, it charges forward without hesitation.
Again and again, PUGGY leaps upward, using its teeth to bite through the rope holding the net. It falls several times, but each time it gets back up and jumps again. At last, the rope snaps, and the lion cub falls safely back to the ground—free at last. The two little animals press their paws together in celebration, overjoyed by their survival and reunion.
In the final shot, sunlight filters through the treetops onto a forest path as PUGGY and the lion cub walk side by side, their silhouettes steady and determined as they set out on the next unknown journey. It is the image of courage and friendship, one that lingers in the hearts of all who see it.
